Interventions

Individual interventions

  • Formal and ad hoc follow-ups with women currently or formerly housed at the shelter and with women of the community
  • Interventions with children exposed to or victims of domestic violence
  • Support throughout the process of taking back power (local employment centre, youth centres, lawyers, court, etc.)

Group interventions

  • Support groups for women on different themes (domestic violence, self-esteem, assertiveness, management of emotions, etc.)
  • Customized presentation or training (related to our mission) in the workplace for organizations

Phone interventions

  • Help, support, information, referrals and interventions to meet the needs of women and other members of the community
  • Services available 24/7

These services are accessible with or without a referral from a health or legal professional.
Please note that there are four steps at the entrance. Parking is free.

Housing

Housing is offered free of charge to women and their children. Services are offered in both French and English. The services of an interpreter can be provided if necessary.

During your stay, you will be required to live in a group. Hence, solidarity and mutual support are highly encouraged at L’Autre Chez-Soi.
