Our Mission

We are a non-profit, community-based organization that provides a safe and confidential environment for women who are victims of domestic violence and their children. We offer free, bilingual services; assistance; housing; individual and group interventions; support; prevention services; and information and awareness services, both inside and outside the shelter.

Our Goals

  • To help women and children regain control over their lives.
  • Link individual change to social change and to advocate for long-term social and political involvement.

Vigile Commémorative

Le Comité organisateur de la Marche et la Vigile commémoratives du 6 décembre 2024 invite la population à venir participer à cet événement de commémoration et de recueillement en mémoire : • des 14 femmes assassinées à l'école Polytechnique de Montréal en 1989; • des femmes victimes de féminicides chaque année; • des femmes et des enfants assassinées et tuées chaque année en contexte de violence conjugale et; • des femmes et des filles autochtones disparues et assassinées. 🕚 Le rassemblement pour la marche débutera à 11 h 00 et le départ de la marche à 11 h 15 au 255, Rue Saint-Antoine (derrière l'aréna Stade Pierre-Lafontaine) 🕚 La vigile débutera à 12 h 00 au monument Jeannine Boissonneault , Parc Mémoire d'Elles (intersection boul. Gréber et rue Jacques-Cartier) En cas de mauvais temps, seulement la Marche sera annulée. 🤍

Max and Catou workshop is back !

Max and Catou workshops is back in our daycare centers! The workshops are offered in both French and English, completely FREE of charge! We strongly believe that violence prevention should happen at all ages. That’s why we invite you to come share the story of Max and Catou with the children. Several themes will be addressed, including consent, stereotypes, physical and emotional hurts, emotions, a trusted adult, and conflict resolution. Activities to help reinforce the information will also be offered at the end of each session.
